Daily Routine

This month we talk about some of the ways that we incorporate essential oils into our daily routine. Whilst I was writing this I realised that we use A LOT of doTERRA oils and products every day!! It’s amazing how quickly they have been incorporated into our daily routine. I don’t know how I lived without them?! They have honestly changed our lives in so many amazing ways!!

Here is how we incorporate the doTERRA essential oils and wellness products into our daily routine.

First thing in the morning:

As soon as we wake up, Byron and I write in our affirmation journals and place 4-5 drops of Balance essential oil under our feet to ground us and help us feel balanced throughout our busy days. We also use Balance oil to manage our stress levels.

Chakra Balancing:

After applying Balance essential oil, we then balance the rest of our chakras with various oils whilst saying positive affirmations for each chakra point. At the end we do a mini meditation and look at our vision board. Balancing chakras is a quick and easy morning routine, that takes no more than 5 minutes, to do this just apply 1-2 drops of essential oil to each chakra location. At the moment I’m applying Balance to my feet (root chakra), Ylang Ylang essential oil to my sacral chakra which is just below my navel, Citrus Bliss to my solar plexus (Stomach), Elevation on my heart chakra, Lavender on my throat chakra, Salubelle to my third eye chakra which is located in the middle of my forehead and Frankincense to my crown chakra (Top of my head).

Oil Pulling:

Coconut Oil pulling is next in our morning routine, we put a tablespoon of coconut oil in our mouth with one drop of Myrrh or On Guard essential oil to help remove any toxins and bacteria from our mouth. It also supports gum health and oral hygiene. We swish the oil around our mouth for 5-10 minutes and then it’s important that you spit the oil into the garden otherwise it will clog up your drain pipes. I found out the hard way, Byron wasn’t too impressed…

Alkalise & Hydrate:

It’s really important to alkalise and hydrate your system first thing in the morning. We do this by mixing a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with 3-5 drops of Lemon essential oil in a glass of filtered water. This also naturally cleanses the body and helps prepare your digestive system for the day.

Breakfast:

For breakfast we either have porridge with quinoa or a smoothie with doTERRA TerraGreens, Slim & Sassy Vegan Shake protein powder and you guessed it…1 or 2 drops of essential oils. Ginger or On Guard essential oils are usually my top picks as I love Ginger for digestion and On Guard for boosting my immune system.

Lifelong Vitality Pack:

Byron and I absolutely love the Lifelong Vitality vitamins. We have been taking these on a daily basis for 2 years now and swear by them. We were taking other multi-vitamins before we started taking the Lifelong Vitality Pack but we didn’t realise that most multi-vitamins are actually synthetically made. We noticed a big difference when we swapped over, as doTERRA’s vitamins do not have synthetic ingredients plus they have essential oils like Frankincense and Clove inside the capsules too!

The Lifelong Vitality pack has so many benefits, some of them include supporting mental clarity, bone health, healthy digestion, brain function, combating free radicals, healthy cell function along

with promoting healthy cardiovascular, nervous, and immune system function. It also provides 22 essential vitamins and minerals to support normal growth, function and maintenance of cells.

Cellular & Antioxidant Support:

We also take DDR Prime capsules on a daily basis as they are all about cellular repair and renewal. They protect the body and cells from oxidative stress and promote a healthy response to free radicals.

Probiotic & Energy:

You can also add other daily supplements like PB Assist which is a daily probiotic that has an advanced capsule which ensures it gets to where it is needed in your gut. It promotes a positive balance of beneficial bacteria, maintains healthy intestinal microflora, supports the health of the GI tract and helps support optimal metabolism and absorption of food. Another great supplement is the Mito2Max Energy & Stamina Complex which improves stamina naturally without the use of harmful stimulants. We like to use this instead of coffee and energy drinks.

Water:

Throughout the day I always drink filtered water from my Zazen water filter with 3-5 drops of essential oil. I either use a combination of Grapefruit and Lemon or the Smart & Sassy blend. Smart & Sassy is not only a weight loss blend of essential oils, but it also helps regulate your cortisol levels, detoxes and balances blood sugar levels so you don’t devour a whole block of chocolate. It is important that you only use glass, stainless steel, ceramic, etc. when drinking the oils with water.

Exercising & Yoga:

Before exercise we add a drop or two of Peppermint essential oil or Easy Air blend to our chest to help open up our airways whilst working out. If we’re doing a yoga session, we also diffuse Cedarwood, Frankincense or Sandalwood essential oil.

Diffuse, diffuse and diffuse:

We have our diffuser on as much as we can. We love them that much that we actually own 5 diffusers at the moment! Our favourite diffusers are the candle diffuser, petal diffuser and the new cloud diffuser as you don’t need to add water to this last one.

Some of our favourite essential oils to diffuse are Spearmint to energise us and keep us focused, Elevation which is an uplifting and joyful blend, On Guard to sanitise our house (especially during winter) and Lavender Peace which we diffuse every night in our bedroom to promote a deep sleep with lots of beautiful dreams.

Natural Wellness Products:

We also use the doTERRA Cleaner Concentrate, Laundry Detergent, Salon Essentials Shampoo & Conditioner, On Guard Toothpaste, Verage Skin Care Set, Natural Deodorant Stick, Peppermint Beadlets as well as Wild Orange & Peppermint Lip Balm.

Cooking with oils:

Every night we cook with the oils too! We love to experiment with new flavours and best of all, you only need a drop or two! We love to cook with Rosemary, Thyme, Basil, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Ginger, Cilantro, Oregano, Lemon, Lime, Peppermint and Wild Orange essential oils. We’ll write about this in more detail in the future or if you’re free then come along to one of our upcoming cooking class.

Believe it or not, these are just some examples from hundreds of different ways that you can use your essential oils every day! This is just the tip of the iceberg, experiment, play, have fun and establish a routine that works for you!
